About Us
HISTORY
Knibbe Automotive (pronounced kh-nib-ee) is a Calgary-based, family-run business established by John Knibbe and his immediate family. It has expanded to include John’s “extended family”: the amazing staff at both locations.
Knibbe Automotive’s first location opened in 2004 with a total of four staff (including John, his wife, his son, and one automotive technician). Many customers had already known John from his many years at Honda where he was one of Canada’s top salesman for over 10 years. Many more customers came to appreciate John’s professional and honest approach to cars, helping Knibbe Automotive expand from a staff of four to almost 20 employees.
Knibbe Automotive would like to say a huge thank you to all of our loyal customers who we have had the pleasure of serving over the years!

We understand that car repairs are not fun – they cause stress, anxiety, and they cost money. We understand that in order to have your car repaired you are forced to trust someone else with your car. What if they don’t fix the car properly? What if they don’t fix the car on time or they break something else? What if they are incompetent or dishonest?
We promise to treat our clients’ trust with the utmost respect. We will work with integrity and honesty and never perform unnecessary repairs. We promise to deliver quality repairs backed by top quality equipment and the best technicians. We know that if we GAIN TRUST we will GAIN A CUSTOMER, but if we LOSE TRUST we will LOSE A CUSTOMER forever.
